- Housed in the fond are vital records that had been kept at the Senno synagogue; these include records (with some gaps) on Jewish births 1861/1869.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- The city of Senno was the administrative center of the Mogilev province’s Senno county. In the latter half of the 19th century, the city’s population numbered approximately 5,700 people, of whom about 2,000 were Jews. The city had a synagogue and several Jewish houses of worship. In accordance with the Statute of 1835, rabbis were charged with the responsibility of keeping vital records on Jews. Vital records were usually housed in synagogues.
