- Pertaining to Jewish history and culture is a sketch album of the artist I. V. Barzar which contains a portrait of A. L. Kaplan (undated); a series of drawings by A. L. Kaplan titled “The Past”: “By the Porch” (1969); “The Cow” (1970); “The Bedroom” (1971); “The Kitchen” (1971); “Rogachev. A Moonlit Night” (1971); “By the Monument” (1971); “Self-Portrait” (1973); “The Young Wife” (1974); “People in Love” (1973); “Lavender Twilight” (1972); and the oil pastel works “Among the Birch Trees” (1976); “The Open Window” (1978); “The Cobbler” (1977); and “Explanation” (1978); applique work by N. O. Munts for the cover of the book Uriel da Costa (1967); artwork by and documents of S. B. Iudovin, including biographical materials: a questionnaire form; autobiographical statement, and a listing of his most significant works for 1919-49 (1949); his identification papers, documents, and award certificates (1911-50); correspondence with the All-Russian Academy of Arts (undated), the Russian Museum (1947), the Leningrad House of Books (1946), E. A. Kibrik (1953), Lion Feuchtwanger (1937), E. A. Ianson-Manizer (1943), and others; book illustrations, including sketches for illustrations for D. Bergel’son’s novella On the Dnieper (1936) and N. V. Gogol’s Mirgorod (1955); photographs by S. B. Iudovin (1914-49); etc.
