- Materials housed in the fonds include minutes of a closed party assembly (15 August 1950) on expelling the Jewish writer A. Sh. Huberman from the party for, according to one of his colleagues, having “headed a group of Jewish writers [N. M. Lur’e, I. Kh. Druker, and Khanan Vainerman] unmasked by the authorities as enemies of the people, and fascist agents of American imperialism”; and, as another speaker put it, for having “had the most contact with the persons who have since been exposed and jailed.” There are also minutes of an open party assembly (15 August 1951) with an agenda titled “The party organization’s struggle to fulfill the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) Central Committee decree on the journals Zvezda and Leningrad of 14 August 1946,” which dealt with “the need in particular to intensify the war on manifestations of Ukrainian bourgeois nationalism and rootless cosmopolitanism.”.

- This was an association of members of the Odessa branch of the Union of Soviet Writers of Ukraine (from March 1959 on, the Union of Writers of Ukraine) who were also members of the Communist Party (Bolsheviks) of Ukraine (from 1952 on, the Communist Party of Ukraine); it was originally subordinate to Odessa’s Stalin (from 1956 on, Zhovtnevoe) District Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine, and from 1978 on, to the Primor’e District Committee. It was disbanded in 1991 pursuant to the edicts of the presidium of the Supreme Council of Ukraine (26 August 1991) “On temporarily suspending activities of the Communist Party of Ukraine” and (30 August 1991) “On barring the activities of the Communist Party of Ukraine.”
