- The fonds' materials include files on former Jewish partisans (L. M. Zadovskii, M. A. Reizman, the brothers Z. M. and Kh. M. Shuster, and others) who had been residents of the colonies of Dobraia and Efingar’. The files, dated 1931-35, include applications to the commission for the status of “red partisan”; autobiographies; letters and certificates corroborating the applicants’ service in local partisan detachments and relating particular facts pertaining to their involvement in battles against units of A. I. Denikin’s Volunteer Army and various bands; excerpts from minutes of commission sessions; etc.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- This was established in 1929 to verify citizens who had belonged to partisan detachments during the Civil War and confer upon them the status of former Red Guards member or Red partisan. Files on these persons generated by the commission were considered at a session of the Bashtanka District Executive Committee, and they were used as a basis to issue certificates to former partisans (or family members of partisans who had perished) entitling them to privileges established by the Soviet government for this category of the population. It was liquidated in 1935 in connection with the fulfilment of the tasks with which it was charged.
