- Included (op. 1, d. 15) are minutes and proceedings of the commission to confiscate “church valuables” from synagogues and houses of worship of the city of Ochakov to benefit famine victims; a list of religious institutions of the city, including synagogues and Jewish houses of worship, with information on the total weight of valuables (gold and silver) confiscated from them, and inventories of these valuables, which were delivered to the Nikolaev Provincial Finance Department (1922).
- Administrative/biographical history:
- Municipal executive committees were established in the Nikolaev region in 1919-20 by decree of the Ukrainian SSR Council of People’s Commissars (8 February 1919) as executive committees of municipal councils of workers’, peasants’, and Red Army deputies. They suspended operations during the 1941-44 German-Romanian occupation of the Nikolaev region. Upon the adoption of the USSR Constitution of 1936 and the Ukrainian SSR Constitution of 1937, they were renamed executive committees of municipal councils of toilers’ deputies; and pursuant to the USSR Constitution of 1977 and the Ukrainian SSR Constitution of 1978, of people’s deputies. They are currently called executive committees of municipal councils.
