- Included are various persons’ applications for their children’s admission to the school, exam records and summary lists of pupils’ progress, and their applications for admittance to high school diploma exams. There are also copies of passports, family lists, birth certificates, extracts from vital records, and smallpox vaccination certificates.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- This was established in 1921, not long after the closing of the Rovno Women’s High School [gimnaziia]. Factors contributing to the high school’s opening included the significant influx of Jewish refugees from territories that had become part of Russia per the Treaty of Riga, and also the reduction of the Jewish quota at other educational institutions of the city. Instruction at the high school was conducted in Polish, and its curriculum included the Bible, Hebrew, and Jewish history. It ceased activities in 1939.
