- Documents housed in the fond contain statistical data pertaining to synagogues, Jewish houses of worship, workers’ clubs, hospitals, and labor and vocational-technical schools and courses located in the territory of Berdichev county, as well as information on buildings belonging to Jewish communities (of Berdichev and Samgorodok); on Jewish children’s shelters (in Berdichev and Vakhnovka) maintained via funding from the American Relief Administration and the Jewish Public Committee to Aid Victims of Pogroms (Evobshchestkom); on the activities of the Jewish drama club of the Grininke Beymelekh studio-school in the city of Berdichev; etc.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- Established in 1919, this was under the jurisdiction of the Ukrainian SSR Central Statistics Administration and immediately subordinate to the Berdichev County Executive Committee. It gathered and analysed county-wide statistical data on population, agriculture, industry, transportation, finance, trade, public education, and healthcare. It was dissolved in March 1923 in connection with the liquidation of the county.
