- Among documents in the fonds are files on the demolition of Jewish-owned homes adjacent to the wall of the Pochaev Lavra (Monastery) (1872-75); on granting Jewish lease-holders the use of Lavra-owned plots of land without the proper permission of the archbishop; on a group of Jews accused of kidnapping a coreligionist who had previously converted to Orthodoxy with the aim of “seducing” her back to Judaism and subsequently fleeing abroad. There is also a file “on the anti-Jewish movement in the city of Kiev and on calling the Orthodox population of the Volhynia diocese to order,” which includes, in particular, an appeal by A. R. Drentel’n, Governor-General of Kiev, Volhynia, and Podolia regarding anti-Jewish pogroms in Kiev and several population centres of the Kiev province, and an accompanying epistle on the same subject by Archbishop Dmitrii of Volhynia and Zhitomir denying “incorrect” reports “on the authorities’ allegedly lenient attitude toward such disturbances” (1881).
