There are also Jews' applications for admission to the school; statistical data on the number of pupils by religious confession; and information on donations to the school by Jewish philanthropists.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- Established in 1908, this was under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education and answered to the superintendent of the Kiev Educational District. It was located in Kiev's outlying Luk'ianovka neighbourhood; and since many Jewish families lived in this district, and certain institutions of the local Jewish community were located there (in particular, Kiev's Jewish hospital), the school (also called the Kiev-Luk'ianovka school) was provided with material support by such prominent Jewish philanthropists as L. B. Ginzburg, I. M. Zaks, and D. S. Margolin. The Sixth High School was under Jewish admissions restrictions (the “percentage norm” [quota] etc.) until 1917. It was reorganised as a Unified Labor School in 1919.
