- Among documents housed are circulars of the superintendent of the Kiev Educational District on rules for admitting Jewish children to secondary educational institutions, and on expulsions of Jews from there “due to wartime conditions”; on procedures for arranging excursions to places where Jewish residence was forbidden in cases in which excursion participants included Jews; on excusing students “of the Judaic confession” from classes on Saturdays (in classes wherein they made up at least a third of all students, or excusing them from written work in other classes) as requested by the Ostrog Jewish Communal Board (1917); etc.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- Opened in 1909, this was under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education; it trained elementary school teachers. The institute also operated a model municipal elementary school. It ceased operations in 1920.

- The fond includes seven inventories systematised chronologically (op. 1.), alphabetically (op. 2, 4-7 – student files); and in part (op. 3) both alphabetically and chronologically.
