- Among other documents, the collection contains lists of Jewish residents of Kiev shot by the Nazis and their accomplices, in particular on 29 September 1941; documents and local residents’ testimony on mass shootings of Jews in several population centres of the Kiev region, including in the city of Pereiaslav-Khmel’nitskii (6 October 1941) and the town of Makarov (1941-42).
- Archival history:
- The collection of Documentary Materials on Underground and Partisan Activities during the Temporary German-Fascist Occupation of Kiev and the Kiev Region was established in the late 1970s and early 1980s at the archive of the Kiev Regional Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine; it consisted of documents that had been stored in fonds of the Kiev Regional and Industrial Regional Committees, of city and district committees of the Communist Party of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Komsomol [Leninist Communist Union of Youth] of Kiev and the Kiev region, and of the Ukrainian SSR Ministry of Internal Affairs party committee. The collection was transferred to the State Archive of the Kiev Region in 1991 along with other fonds from the archive of the Kiev Regional Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine.
