- Among the fond’s materials are minutes of general and emergency sessions and audit materials of Jewish savings and loan societies (the Boguslav, Buki, Gornostaipol’, Kagarlyk, Kanev, Kiev 1 and 2, Lipovets, Skvira, Stavishche, Tripol’e, Tetiev, etc. savings and loan societies); and lists of savings and loan society members (for 1908-14) with share amounts indicated. There is also a petition by an agent acting on behalf of the Jewish population of Boguslav requesting that a savings and loan society be set up exclusively to serve the needs of Jews, and correspondence on this subject; documents on the election and removal of Boguslav Savings and Loan Society board members; on the issuance of construction loans; on paying overdue loans in instalments; on the provincial committee’s denial of share increase requests; on the reorganisation of Jewish savings and loan banks as savings banks; etc.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- The Kiev Provincial Committee on Small Credit was established in 1904 pursuant to the Statute on Small Credit Institutions. It was under the jurisdiction of the Finance Ministry and monitored operations of credit and savings and loan societies in the province. It was liquidated in 1920.
