- Among materials housed in the fond are Ivan Ivanovich Nekhoda’s translations (from Yiddish into Ukrainian) of poems by M. A. Talalaevskii (1950s) and D. G. Khaikina (undated); letters to Ivan Nekhoda from such Jewish writers as Yekhiel Falikman (1944-45) and M. Ia. Pinchevskii (1950; a letter of 23 November contains a reworked fragment of a scene from the musical comedy Chinda, which Pinchevskii and Nekhoda collaborated on); and group photos showing Ivan Nekhoda with G. I. Polianker, Yekhiel Falikman, L. Pritsker, and others.

- The Ukrainian poet Ivan Ivanovich Nekhoda (1910-63) was born in Alekseevka (now Oleksiivka/Alekseevka, Kolomak district, Kharkiv/Khar’kov region). He graduated from the Khar’kov Institute of Public Education (1932) and the Moscow Cinematography Institute’s screenwriting department (1940). He served as a war correspondent during the Second World War. Having commenced literary activities in 1925, he would eventually publish over twenty collections of poetry and the novel-in-verse Whosoever Sows the Wind [Khto siie viter] (1959). He also wrote poetry and verse fairy tales for children, and translated poetic works from languages of other peoples of the USSR. He died in Kiev.
