This collection consists of 26 volumes with photographs linked to Jewish life associated with the Jewish Congregation (Mosaiska församlingen) in Stockholm. The 26 volumes comprise photographs from 1897 until 1993, as well as some undated photographs.
The first volume consists of 350 photographs from 1941 to 1976 relating to religious leaders and events at the Great Synagogue on Wahrendorffsgatan in Stockholm. There are photographs from the religious school, confirmations, the synagogue, the community house, board meetings, religious celebrations, funerals, community activities, exhibitions, political meetings and refugee activities during the Second World War.
The second volume consists of 425 photographs from 1944 to 1981, and they also relate to refugee activities (including marriages, people, boarding schools and religious celebrations) and congregational activities, such as dinners, funerals, parties, emigrants, cemeteries, exhibitions, religious celebrations and international synagogues.
The third volume consists of 339 photographs from 1942 to 1966 relating to people and activities at the Jewish Elder People’s Home.
The fourth volume consists of 307 photographs from 1944 to 1979, relating to religious leader and lay leaders, Nobel Prize winners, religious celebrations and events at the synagogue (such as confirmations, shabbat, Hanukkah and marriages), as well as activities at other places (such as cemeteries, hotels, and Elder People’s Home).
The fifth volume consists of 203 photographs from 1942 to 1981, relating to political events, exhibitions and communal events. The sixth volume consists of 242 photographs from 1946 to 1993, relating to political events, the congregation’s personnel, synagogues and group activities.
Volume seven is undated, but consists of 22 photographs relating to rabbis, funerals and confirmations. Volume eight is also undated, and consists of 20 photographs of painted portraits and objects.
Volume nine contains 18 photographs from 1963, depicting the Jewish Centre in Malmö.
Volumes 10-23 contain undated portraits or photographs of portraits of Theodor Herzl, Perez Smilenskin, Nahum Sokolow, Abraham Ussischkin/Menahem Mendel, Professor Ivar Bendixon (by Anders Zorn), Jakob Axel Josephson, Jacob Levertin, Oskar Levertin, L. Lipmanson, Henriette Nissen-Salomon, Axel Raphael (from 1897), Martin Schück, a recreational group, the funeral of Gustaf Fredriksson, a school class (from 1916), and famous cantors.
Volumes 24 and 25 are photographs from Marcus Ehrenpreis’s personal archiv; they comprise five photographs. The first four are from 1926, relating to international synagogues, and the last photograph is a diploma from the Société académique d’histoire international Paris in 1913.
The final volume contains photographs from the 1920s until 1993, relating to activities in Borås, cemeteries, religious ceremonies, board member meetings, group photographs, and international locations.
The photographs in the collection are both black-and-white and coloured. Some are glued on cardboard while other are stored in envelopes in photograph boxes. Some photographs or portraits are framed.

- Access to the collection is restricted to researchers. Permission is required and should be obtained in advance. Applications are made to the Swedish National Archives, which reviews them on behalf of the Jewish community of Stockholm, which makes the decision.
