- Scope and content:
- The fonds comprises documents of the administrative bodies of the municipality of Litovice. It contains deeds, official books, file material, accounting material, and photographs. Information on Jews can be found in the following material: inv. no. 5 Records of the inhabitants of the municipality, 1903–1937; inv. no. 6 Records of members of foreign municipalities, 1884–1930; inv. no. 9 Records of issued residence certificates, 1920–1948; inv. no. 11 Records of the deceased, 1906–1928; inv. no. 12 Records of the deceased, 1928–1935; inv. no. 15 Records of labourers' books and identification cards, 1914-1930; inv. no. 23 Register of conscripts 1878–1938; inv. no. 229 Care for Galician and Croatian refugees, 1914–1916; inv. no. 256 Contributions by members of the Jewish religious community, 1896–1919.
- Archival history:
- The documents were stored with the mayor. They were severely damaged and often moved. In 1950, the documents were transferred to the Local National Committee of Hostivice. The material was transferred to the archives in 1954-1961, the last part in 2011. The fonds was organised and an inventory was created for it in that year. The accounting material in the fonds is in fragments.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- The first record of Litovice dates from 1266. From 1849, the municipality was owned by the emperor. |It also included the settlements of Břve and Jeneček. An independent municipality came into being in 1848. It was headed by the municipal committee, the board and the mayor. Litovice belonged to the mixed district office of Unhošť, from 1868 to the Smíchov district governor's office, and from 1893 to the Kladno governor's office.
