- Archival history:
- The oldest documents have not been preserved. The town archive was stored in the town hall. In 1944, a revision and appraisal took place. The archive was transferred to the District Archives Nymburk in 1956. The fonds was gradually supplemented and organised, and an inventory and register were created for it.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- Sadská was an important administrative and church center in the Middle Ages. In 1562 it was promoted to a town. Since 1850 the town was part of the Pardubice judicial district and subject to the district governor's office in Poděbrady. At the head of the municipality was the mayor and councillors. The regulated municipality office ended its activities in 1850, being succeeded by the elected municipal committee and the board headed by the mayor. From 1934 it was replaced by the administrative commission. In 1945, a national committee was established there.
