The fonds was stored at the municipal office, where several arbitrary appraisals took place. The archive material was transferred to the District Archives in Benešov in 1962. In 1964, a provisional inventory list was made, the fonds was inventoried and organised, and the inventory was created in 1874.
- Administrative/biographical history:
-
The first record of Divišov dates from 1218. In 1545, it was promoted to town. Until 1850, there was a regulated municipality office, then it was replaced by the municipal office. In the second half of the 19th century, the town was part of the judicial district of Vlašim (1850-1945) and the political district (the governor's office) of Benešov. At the head of the municipality was an elected council with a mayor. In 1945, a national committee was established.
The Jewish community was founded there in 1776. From the end of the 19th century, it belonged to the community of Benešov. From 1880, the Jewish population declined, and by the 1930s regular services were held in the town only on major holidays.
