- Archival history:
- The fonds was stored in the court and after its closure it was moved to the regional archives in Kuks, a branch of the state archives in Zámrsk. The fonds was taken over by the state archives in Nový Bydžov and the documents were moved to Hradec Králové. The fonds was organised and inventoried in 1981-82. Later, the files for which a partial inventory was made in 2002 were moved to the archives. The files of the call no. P (guardianship (1921-1948)) and call no. D (estates, inheritance (1933-1951)) are still stored in the registry office of the regional court in Hradec Králové.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- The district court began to operate in 1850 after the abolition of the superior courts. It was subordinated to the regional court in Jičín. In investigation proceedings, it was subordinated to Nový Bydžov. In the period from 26 May 1855 to 31 August 1868, the performance of political and judicial administration was merged into one office, which became the so-called mixed district office. The separation of political and judicial administration took place again in 1868, when a district court was established, operating until 1949. The court was abolished in 1949, when it was annexed to Nový Bydžov, but it functioned as its branch until 1959.
