- Archival history:
- The fonds was handed over in 1961 to the then Pardubice District Archives by the pastor of the Czechoslovak Hussite Church in Přelouč. The archive material was found in the loft of the former Jewish school, the building of which was used by the Czechoslovak Hussite Church. The fonds was processed and inventoried in 1986.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- On May 7, 1865, the Přelouč Jewish community obtained permission from the Governor's Office to establish its own private school. Filip Bäcker from Koloděje in the Budějovice region became the first teacher. The school had one class. In 1873, the Jewish community built its own school building in Tůma Přeloučský Street, where classes began on October 1, 1873. Filip Bäcker was succeeded by B. Schwarz (1879–1885), and in the following years by Šimon Gottlib (1885–1889) and Jindřich Löbl (from 1889). In 1895, the school was abolished and the pupils were transferred to the local school, where Jewish religion was also taught since 1895.
