- Scope and content:
- The fonds contains documents of the judicial administration of the Chrudim district. Jewish affairs can be found in the following documents: inheritance files (files marked A, D) 1850-1935, index of estates and registers of estates. Also relevant are the files concerning the declarations of death (file marked M) 1945–1948, guardianship files and registers (files marked E, P).
- Archival history:
- The fonds is held in the State District Archives in Chrudim. It was organised in 1959 and the first additions came to the archives in 1955. In 2001, the fonds was re-evaluated as unprocessed, because a large number of archive material was gradually added.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- The Chrudim District Court was established in 1849. In 1855, a mixed district office was established in Chrudim, which managed all administrative, tax and judicial matters. In 1867, the mixed district offices were again divided into separate district courts and district offices. This arrangement lasted even after the end of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy and the establishment of an independent Czechoslovakia. A change did not occur until 1952 - the Constitutional Act on Courts and the Prosecutor's Office brought about a division into people's courts (former district courts), regional courts and the Supreme Court. During the territorial reorganisation in 1960, the People's Court in Hlinsko ceased to exist being annexed to Chrudim.

- System of arrangement:
- The fonds contains file material and official books. The files are sorted according to call numbers and volumes assigned by the court. There was a partial appraisal, during which Jewish inheritance files were set aside in one box. However, most files are still waiting to be processed; they can only be searched with knowledge of, for example, the year in which the file was created in the relevant package. Declarations of death are also collected separately, but it is only a fragment in one folder.
