- Archival history:
- The fonds of the district office was taken over from the District National Committee in Ledeč nad Sázavou by the State Archives in Telč, and from there, in 1963, to the District Archives in Havlíčkův Brod.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- The district governor's office in Ledeč nad Sázavou was founded in 1850 and included the judicial districts of Ledeč nad Sázavou and Dolní Kralovice. The district was first part of the Pardubice region. The administrative reform of 1868 resulted in reorganisation of the administration. The district in Ledeč nad Sázavou was subject to the Prague governor's office and the so-called district supervising governor in Čáslav. According to the organisational act from 1927, the district governor's office was renamed the district office and the district councils in Ledeč nad Sázavou and Dolní Kralovice became a part of it.
