- Information on Jews can be found in the series of trades (1920-38). Also relevant are leases of rights and real estate (1878, 1885) and payment of church tax (1933).
- Archival history:
- When the notary office ceased to exist, its documents were handed over to the National Committee in 1961. The fonds was made available in 1969.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- The notary was originally an official of the town or municipal administration. The notary offices were part of the Hungarian public administration. Since 1895, the notary offices were the seats of the registry districts. After 1918, the notary offices were part of the state administration, the notary being a state official. Notary offices were abolished in 1945 with national committees taking over their authority.
