- Archival history:
- When the originator of the fonds ceased to exist, the documents were stored in the archives of the District National Committee in Ružomberok, from where they were taken over by the State Archives in Bytča in 1956.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- On 21 January 1940, the previous land administration was abolished and six new counties were established. Mostly, they took over the powers of the regional offices, and partly those of the district authorities. Tatranská County included the territories of the historical counties Liptovská, Oravská, Spišská and Turčianská, its seat being in Ružomberok. It was headed by the county office with the county head officer appointed by the government. The regional council appointed the regional committee. The Ružomberok regional office ceased to exist on 7 April 1945.
