- The fonds is a fragment of the original registry. It only consists of official books. They are class catalogues from the school years of 1903/04-1905/06, 1913/14-1914/15, and class records from 1926-1937. The fonds also includes pupil registers from 1890/91-1898/99. These official books include, in particular, the names of the teachers, the school administrator, and the personal data of the school pupils and the details of their grades. The fonds also includes the minutes of the 1875-1911 school board meetings. They contain information on the members and functionaries of the school board, their elections and changes as well as records on the issues discussed in connection with the administration and operation of the school.
- Archival history:
- In 1980, the fonds was taken over by the State District Archives in Levice. Currently, the fonds is classified as arranged.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- The Jewish School in Šahy was built in 1874. It was seated in the town throughout its existence. Upon opening, it had 67 students. It also existed after the establishment of the Czechoslovak Republic in the inter-war period and even after the annexation of Šahy by Hungary as a result of the 1st Vienna Arbitration in November 1938. It ceased to exist in 1944 because of the deportations of Jewish citizens to extermination camps.
