- Administrative/biographical history:
- The district offices (Hungarian: szolgabírói hivatal) were established in 1849, initially as temporary public administration authorities. A reorganisation took place in 1850 and another in 1853. First, in 1849-1854, the Krupina District Office operated within Zvolen County as the Branch Office of the District Commissariat in Zvolen. In 1854-1860 and 1877-1922, the Office was part of Hont County. It was located in Krupina. It was headed by the principal district head assisted by one or two district heads. There was also other staff in the office. The judicial authority was withdrawn and handed over to district courts in 1871. The Office monitored compliance with the law, dealt with taxes, charges, military affairs and elections, and was also the industrial supervisory body of the first instance. After the establishment of the Czechoslovak Republic, the structure of the Office remained unchanged. The Office ceased to exist in 1922.
