- The first written mention of the municipality of Jiřice u Miroslavi dates from the end of the 14th century. From1634, the municipality was owned by the chapter of St. Wenceslas in Mikulov. Some time at the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries, a small Jewish community was established. The last remaining Jewish settlements in the municipality were destroyed during the Holocaust. In 1850-1949 the municipality was under the jurisdiction of the District Court in Moravský Krumlov. From 1850 to 1938 it fell under the political district of Moravský Krumov and in 1938-1945 under the Znojmo Landrat (district councillor).
