- Archival history:
- Documents created by the town administration and Municipality Office (Magistrat) were stored at the town hall. Since 1889 the written sources were administered by the town museum. In 1902 the documents were returned to the town hall and in February 1915 to the museum. They were repeatedly moved to various places since then. In 1960 the archival records were taken over by the District Archives Ústí nad Orlicí.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- The beginnings of settlement in the area of Česká Třebová are dated to the first half of 12th century. In 1292 Česká Třebová was promoted to town status. Česká Třebová became a municipal trade town only in connection with the construction of the Olomouc-Prague railway between 1842-1845. The railway was a major turning point in terms of the town transformation.
