Relevant information may be contained in the class registers and catalogues from 1872-1901, or the school chronicle from 1875-1901.
- Archival history:
- After dissolution of the school its documents were taken over by the museum in Uherský Brod, from where they were handed over to the district archives in 1955. They are currently kept in the State District Archives Uherské Hradiště. The fonds was arranged in 1969.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- The school was founded in 1872 as the Primary and Public School for Boys and Girls in Uherský Brod with German and Czech as obligatory languages of tuition . In 1883, it was changed to the German Public School for Boys and Girls in Uherský Brod and the school operated in this form until 1901 when it was closed due to a lack of pupils. A large number of pupils were children from the Jewish communities in Uherský Brod and Uherský Ostroh, but also other Jewish children from the whole district.
