- Scope and content:
- The fonds comprises documents from the Market Town of Bojkovice, including regulations and orders relating to Jews 1940-1944. Attention should also be paid to Care for refugees from the occupied borderlands 1939-1943 and Applications of residence permits 1941-1945.
- Archival history:
- Documents of the fonds were stored at the town hall of Bojkovice. In 1933 they were stored in the Regional Museum in Bojkovice, from where they were handed over in 1956 to the District Archives Uherský Brod. Due to an institutional merger, they were transferred in 1960 to the State District Archives Uherské Hradiště.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- The earliest mention of Bojkovice dates back to the early 15th century. It belonged to the Světlov manor until 1848. There was never any continuous Jewish settlement in Bojkovice. In 1850-1949 Bojkovice belonged to the political district Uherský Brod; in 1850-1905 to the judicial district Uherský Brod and in 1905-1949 to the judicial district Bojkovice.
