- Archival history:
- The Roman Catholic church organisation was created in the border areas of the Vrchlabí region as early as the 14th century. During the Hussite wars it collapsed and was not renewed until the late 17th century. The oldest preserved documents therefore date from the early 18th century. The documents were most likely stored at the parish office. At some point prior to 1966, they were transferred to the regional archive of Trutnov in Vrchlabí, where they were arranged in 1966.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- The parish of Rudnik, formerly Heřmanovy Sejfy, had a mainly Protestant population until the 1670s. The local church was re-catholicised in 1630 and served as a branch of the church in Hostinné. In 1677 the parish was re-established in Rudnik.
