- The fonds contains documents of the municipal self-government. Jewish issues can be found in files of Jewish matters, 1939–45 (inv. 407) and Jewish property, 1939–42 (inv. 408). They can also likely be found in a set of municipal books concerning judicial and proprietary issues, 1513–1883 (inv. 33, 41–50, 74–79) and in the following files: register of town inhabitants until 1948 (inv. 121); list of religious conversions, 1920–32 (inv. 135); right of domicile and citizenship certificates, 1870–1912 (inv. 262–263); 1910 census (inv. no. 291); residence applications, undated (inv. 310); population registry, 1918–38 (inv. 332); trades, 1939–45 (inv. 413–414); and church issues, 1939–44 (inv. 444).
- Archival history:
- The fonds was created by gathering documents taken in different years from the district archive of Duchcov and in 1963 from the national committee in Hrob. Some documents had already been included in the Teplice town archive, as Hrob belonged to the political district of Teplice until 1896. The first inventory of the entire fonds was carried out in 1968–70, and in 2009–11 the fonds was re-inventoried and new acquisitions were included.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- Hrob originated as a peasant village and was the site of silver and tin mining. In 1477 it was given town status. The town and its assets were administered by the mayor and a body of sworn burghers. Tax and judicial matters were dealt with by the municipal judge with a body of councillors. In 1795 the independent municipality office of Hrob was abolished and town administration was taken over by the municipal court. During the Nazi occupation Hrob belonged to the Reichsgau Sudetenland and was administered by the Landrat (district councillor) of Duchcov.

- System of arrangement:
- The fonds is divided into documents and books (before 1850 and after 1850). The files are divided into registry finding aids, the so-called Hrob Archive according to Rudolf Knott, fragments from the period before Joseph II's, fragments of the municipality office registry divided into public, contribution, commercial, military, and judicial issues, fragments of the registry from 1850-1918, fragments of the registry from the period of the First Czechoslovak Republic, and finally the registry of Bürgermeisteramt (Mayor's Office). This is followed by the accounting material. The files from the period of the Nazi Occupation are arranged according to the disposition schedule for the Sudetenland.
