Scope and content:: The fonds contains the documents of the municipal self-government of Vízmberk. Only the following documents from the time of the Holocaust concern Jews: instructions and ordinances-labelling of Jews, police testimony, expelling of Jews from public care, registration of persons from mixed marriages, supplies, 1939–43.

Archival history:: In 1957 the oldest documents were given to the state archive in Janovice. The remainder was taken by the district archive in Šumperk in 1959. The fonds was arranged in 2000–05.

Administrative/biographical history:: Vízmberk (German: Wiesenberg) manor was formed at the start of the 17th century and Vízmberk castle became its seat. The village itself was not founded until 1799. Since 1848 Vízmberk has been an independent municipality. Political district: Šumperk (1850–55), Loučná nad Desnou (1855–68), Šumperk (since 1868). Judicial district: Loučná nad Desnou (1850–1945).
