- Scope and content:
- The fonds contains the documents of the local self-government of Štíty (formerly Šilperk). The only mention of Jews is the period of the Holocaust: records of Jews and foreigners in the town after the Munich Agreement of 1938 (inv. 304).
- Archival history:
- Until 1945 the documents were stored at the town hall. As of the spring of 1945, only fragments of the fonds were preserved. In 1961 these were taken to the district archive in Šumperk. In 1974 the municipal land registry books were taken from the state (now provincial) archive in Opava. The fonds was arranged in 1975.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- Štíty (German: Schildberg) is first mentioned in a ruling from 1278. It became town around the mid-14th century. The town belonged to the manor of Ruda nad Moravou until 1848, and from 1848 it was an independent municipality. Political district: Zábřeh (1850–55), Štíty (1855–68), Zábřeh (1868–1960). Judicial district: Štíty (1850–1945).
