- Archival history:
- The Loštice archive was kept at the town hall until 1940; it was arranged by the municipal archivist in 1939. It was taken over by the district archive in Zábřeh in 1959 and moved to the state district archive in Šumperk in 1960.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- The first confirmed reports of Loštice come from the second half of the 13th century. Around the mid-14th century, Loštice had the status of a town. Jews are documented in the 16th century and by the end of the century they formed an independent community with its own administration. Loštice became an independent municipality in 1850 and the previously independent Jewish community was dissolved. Loštice was in the political district of Zábřeh from 1850–55, Mohelnice from 1855–68, Zábřeh again from 1868–38 and Litovel from 1938–45.
