- The fonds of the district court of Přerov consists of files of civil and criminal law documents and the paperwork of the land registry, including registry finding aids (incremental registers and indexes). Jewish inhabitants in the Přerov area are documented in the inheritance and guardian files, and relevant information can also be found by studying the registry finding aids.
- Archival history:
- The fonds was recorded in the district archive in Přerov in 1955. Since the 1980s archival records selected during appraisal proceedings at the creator have been added on an ongoing basis. The fonds has not yet been arranged.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- The district court in Přerově started its activities in 1850. It was responsible for contentious and non-contentious civil (inheritance and guardianship matters, defined civil disputes and property seizures) and criminal matters (misdemeanours, cooperation during investigation of criminal acts). The court also kept a land registry. It operated until the end of January 1949, when after a reorganisation of the judiciary, it was known as the people's court of Přerov until 1960, when it returned to its original name during another territorial reorganisation.
