- Scope and content:
- The fonds consists of the archive of the town of Broumov. Although the inventory is very detailed, only one specific mention of Jews was found for the period 1850-1938: municipal administration of Jewish property, 1939 (inv. 1996). Further mentions may be found in proceedings of the municipal office such as the minutes of the municipal board and council, domicile right records and building and trade agenda.
- Archival history:
- The Broumov town archive was established by organic development. The first list of records was made in 1951, the fonds was incorporated into the Broumov district archive in 1956 and a detailed inventory was made in 1959 . The fonds was placed into the administration of the Náchod district archive in Broumov on 1 July 1960. Towards the end of the 60s the fonds was physically moved to Náchod.

- The town of Broumov is historically documented since 1348. The regulated town council was established in 1790 and the municipal office, the lowest unit of the new administration system, in 1850.

- The archive of the town of Broumov consist of register units - deeds, books, incremental registers, files, accounts, plans. They are ordered in three main (artificial) groups: 1348-1789, 1790-1849, 1850-1945.
