- The fonds consists of archival material of the activity of the Roman Catholic Church, Zdoňov parish office. There is only one mention of the Jews, a preserved copy or record of the Jewish birth register from 1841-62 concerning Jews residing in Dolní Adršpach (original inv. 53).
- Archival history:
- The Zdoňov parish office archive was established by development of the initial parish archive. In the second half of the 1950s it was taken over by the Broumov district archives and on 1 July 1960 by the Náchod district archive, Broumov office. In 1962 it was ordered and arranged, and 1967 the archive was moved to the Náchod head office.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- The fonds was created by the Roman Catholic parish office of Zdoňov with its scope of authority in Dolní Adršpach, Libná and Zdoňov municipalities. The first mention of the parish church in Zdoňov dates from 1384. In 1615 a Lutheran priest reportedly worked here, and a Catholic priest was placed here again in 1642. The renaissance church on a gothic base was established in the beginning of the 16th century. The present-day parish building was built in 1728.
