- Scope and content:
- The fonds contains documents of the political administration of the municipality of Darkov. Jews are mentioned in the following documents: application book of temporary residents, 1935-37; register of population, 1939; and from the Holocaust period, list of Jews in the municipality, 1940.
- Archival history:
- The fonds was transferred to the state district archives in Karvina in 1954-55 from the local national committee of Doubrava. It was arranged in 1975.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- The earliest preserved documents relating to the Darkov municipality date from 1820, though it certainly existed a long time before this date. In 1949 Darkov was merged, along with Frystat, Karvina, Ráj and Staré Město, into the town of Karvina.
