Further information on the Jewish population can be found in: Book of foreigners, 1938-45 (inv. 19); census, professions and businesses, forms of scrutineers, 1939 (inv. 59); List of farm owners and trade establishments etc (inv. 63).
- Archival history:
- The fonds was transferred to the state district archives in Karlovy Vary from the Municipal National Committee of Hroznětín in 1958. There were several additions to the fonds in 1971-72 and 2003.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- Hroznětín was probably established as a market village in the late 12th century under the Stauffer government of the Loket region, and later belonged to the Premonstratensian monastery in Teplá. In 1386 it acquired the same rights as the town of Teplá. In the 16th century Jews began to settle there and later expanded their businesses to the nearby town of Karlovy Vary. In 1850-1938 Hrozněntín belonged to the political district of Karlovy Vary, and to 1945 to the Landrat Karlovy Vary. The municipal office of Hroznětín ceased to exist in 1945 after the end of the German occupation.
