The fonds also includes documents about the census from 1900 to 1930 and census records from 1869, 1880, 1890; the agenda of domicile law 1890 to 1945, the agenda of the notification office with lists of inhabitants, and/or photographs of the town from 1918 to 1948.
- Archival history:
- The documents were originally kept at the town hall. Between 1964 and 1966 they were transferred to the State District Archives in Hodonín, where they were supplemented with addenda. The fonds was arranged in 1980.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- The town of Hodonín (Göding in German) was founded in 1228. It was the centre of a manor owned by various noble houses and from 1762 it was the private property of the imperial family. The Jewish community in Hodonín appeared in the 16th century at the latest, and in 1774 Jews were expelled from the town, but for a short time they were allowed to return. Since 1848, the town has been an independent municipality, which also incorporated the original Jewish ghetto. From 1850 to 1855 the town of Hodonín fell under the political district of Kyjov, and from 1855 to 1949 it fell under the political district of Hodonín. The district court has had its seat in Hodonín since 1850.
