The fonds includes materials concerning the census in 1921. Documents concerning the Jewish population can also be found in other parts of the fonds not mentioned here.
- Archival history:
- The fonds was taken over by the State Archives in Třeboň, in 1950 and 1956, from the District Archives and from the Registry of the District National Committee in Český Krumlov. In 1959, the fonds was re-inventoried and arranged in the State Archives in Třeboň. In 1962, it was moved to the District Archives in Český Krumlov.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- The Bezirkshauptmannschaft (district head office) Office of Český Krumlov was established in 1850. Its administration included the judicial districts of Český Krumlov, Chvalšiny and Horní Planá. In 1855, it was converted into a district office which only included the territory of the District Court of Český Krumlov. In Horní Planá and Chvalšiny separate district offices were established. In 1868, the Bezirkshauptmannschaft Český Krumlov was re-established in its original territory. In 1919 it was replaced by the district political administration which, in turn, was replaced by the district office in 1927. In 1938 the district office was abolished. The greater part of the district of Český Krumlov was annexed by the German Reich (Gau Oberdonau (Upper Danube Region)) and was administered by the District Councillor's Office (Landrat) in Linz. A smaller part of the territory was joined with the District of České Budějovice.
