- Archival history:
- After being abolished, the files of the District Court of Český Krumlov were partly taken over by the Archives of the Czech Land (collections of documents). Another part was taken over by the Interior Ministry Archives and from there by the State Archives in Třeboň. A part of the files was taken over by the State Archives in Třeboň directly from the District Court of Český Krumlov. In 1958 a rough appraisal of the files was carried out in the State Archives in Třeboň. In 1960, a part of the fonds was arranged. In 1970, the land books were catalogued in the District Archives in Český Krumlov.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- The District Court of Český Krumlov was established when judicial districts were created. It started to work in February of 1850 within the area of the Regional Court in České Budějovice. At the same time, it served as the District Criminal Court for the judicial districts of Český Krumlov, Horni Planá, Chvalšiny, Kaplice, Nové Hrady and Vyšší Brod. Until 1873 it was also a court of inquiry for the above mentioned judicial districts. The District Court in Český Krumlov was abolished in January 1949. Its agenda was taken over by the People's Court in Český Krumlov.
