- Documents of the District Office of Jablonné v Podještědí were transferred to the then District Archives Česká Lípa in May 1961 and December 1963. In 1963, the fonds obtained an acquisition from the former State Archives Liberec and in 1975 it was arranged. In the following years there were several minor acquisition, for example in 1979 the census from 1921 was added to the fonds.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- By an imperial decree of June 1849 a new organisation of political administration in Austria was approved, taking effect on 1 January 1850. District Offices were established as the lowest level of the newly organised political administration and gradually underwent some partial reforms. In 1938, in the territory annexed by the Nazi Germany district offices were dissolved being replaced by Landrats (district councillors) offices which operated under the German Reich legislation. In 1945, district offices were not restored, being replaced by district national committees.
