The fonds also contains older documents which originated before 1848 in the Jewish community of Ivančice or in the town of Ivančice. The register of the members of the community was kept until 1925 when the Jewish political community of Ivančice had already been merged with the town of Ivančice.
- Archival history:
- The fonds is kept in the State District Archives Brno-Country. It is not known from where it was transferred, but it is likely to have been handed over by the town of Ivančice. It was arranged in 1983.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- The Jewish settlement in Ivančice dates back to the second half of the 15th century. The fonds contains documents of the Jewish political community of Ivančice which was founded in 1849/1850, and in 1919 it merged with the town of Ivančice (the Christian community). It fell under the following political districts: Hustopeče 1850-1855, 1868-1869, Židlochovice 1855-1868, Brno (Brno-Country) since 1869. It has been part of the judicial district of Ivančice since 1850.
