- Archival history:
- Documents of the Regional Court in Hradec Králové were gradually adopted in the network of State archives in the years 1950-1960. The greater part of the documents was also deposited in the Archives of the Ministry of the Interior in Prague. It was later transferred into the custody of the State Archives in Zámrsk. The rest was taken over on the basis of archival searches of the Registry of the Regional Court in Hradec Králové. The fonds was arranged in 1961 and rearranged in 2005 and 2015.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- The Regional Court in Hradec Králové was established in 1850 on the basis of a judicial reorganisation. It managed a total of 17 judicial districts. The court held the civil and criminal agenda. In connection with the new reorganisation of judicial administration in the years 1854-1855 the Regional Court in Hradec Králové was renamed the Regional Court Hradec Králové. Organisation of the entire state administration was swept away by the Nazi occupation of Czechoslovakia in March 1939. The district of the Regional Court in Hradec Králové was combined with the district of the Regional Court in Chrudim under the German Amtsgericht (District Court) in Pardubice. In April 1941, an independent Amtsgericht in Hradec Králové was established for several political districts of the former territory of the Regional Court Hradec Králové. After the liberation in 1945, the organisation of the judiciary was restored to the state of the end of September 1938. The Regional Court in Hradec Králové ceased operation in 1949 when it was replaced by its successor of the same name.
