- Archival history:
- The archival collection was handed over to the State Regional Archives in Litoměřice in 1989 from the company archive of Elektro-Praga Jablonec nad Nisou as two archives of Kramer & Löbl and Hans Büllmann, which were merged. An inventory was created in 1990.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- The company was founded in 1868 by Albert Löbl and Gustav Kramer, originally as a glass refinery. In 1903, G. Kramer withdrew from the company and was replaced by Hugo Löbl in 1908. The company manufactured glass, round window glass and reflectors for merchant and naval fleet, as well as electrical supplies (lighting fixtures), and later radio accessories. In the autumn of 1938, after “Aryanisation”, the company passed into the hands of Hans Büllmann and was renamed Hans Büllmann-Werke für Elektrotechnik und Feinmechanik. The original owner Hugo Löbl died during the war in a concentration camp. Arrangements for the sale of the company were declared void in 1948 during the restitution proceedings (the purchase price was never paid to the owners). Hans Büllmann also obtained another company in 1941 - Jacob H. Jeiteles & Sohn, plc., in Lučany and Jablonec n. N. owned originally by J. Schwenk. After the war, the company was sequestered and from 1 January 1948, by means of nationalisation, the national corporation Elektro-Praga Jablonec n. N. was established.
