- Scope and content:
- The fonds contains documents of patrimonial authority of the manor and economic administration of the vestigial estate. The fonds has only marginal significance for the Jewish inhabitants of the manor, but matters regarding Jews are mention in public policy correspondence of 1849.
- Archival history:
- The documents were originally kept at the chateau in Jevišovice. At the end of the 19th century the Museum Association in Jevišovice acquired part of the documents, and in 1911 it passed them on, along with some municipal archival records, as a deposit to the Moravian Provincial Archives in Brno. After 1945 the District Archives in Znojmo received part of the archival records. These archival records were arranged there and in 1956 they were transferred to the then State Archives in Brno (today the Moravian Provincial Archives in Brno). In 1994 the arranging was finished and the fonds was made accessible.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- Jevišovice (Jaispitz in German) was the centre of a manor owned by various noble houses, from 1736 the Ugarts. In 1916 the industrialist Vilém Offenheim bought the estate, and it was owned from 1939 by Eduard Larisch Mönnich. The estate was confiscated in 1945. There was no Jewish community on the manor.
