- The fonds contains documents of the patrimonial authority of the manor and economic management of the estate, and family documents of owners of the manor. The Book of Jewish Inhabitants in Hodonín 1823-1880 concerns the Jews, but it is kept in the fonds C 17 Land Registries.
- Archival history:
- For centuries the documents of the manor were kept in the Hodonín and Čejkovice chateaus. In 1867 the administration of the Hodonín estate surrendered the part of the charters and documents which no longer had any significance for the management of the estate to the then Moravian Provincial Archives. The then Agricultural Archives took over the rest of the materials in 1919. In 1952 the fonds was transferred to the local administration of the then Regional Archives in Uherské Hradiště. In 1960 the fonds came under the administration of the State Archives in Brno, today the Moravian Provincial Archives in Brno, where it was arranged in the years 1968-1969.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- In the Middle Ages the originally royal estate of Hodonín became a manor owned by aristocrats, and various holders and owners, including the imperial family, held it from the 15th century. After 1848 a vestigial estate operated in place of the original manor. After the First World War the estate was transferred to the ownership of the Czechoslovak republic. From the early Modern Era until the time of the Holocaust there existed a Jewish community and then a Jewish religious community in Hodonín on the territory of Hodonín manor.
