- Archival history:
- Files were originally deposited at the parish office. In 1961 the files were transferred to the Brno City Archives which had already acquired some documents in 1952. In 1961 the fonds was also arranged. In recent years most of the fonds material was transferred to the Brno Diocese Archive (2013) and a part was transferred to the Moravian Land Archives (2015). However, materials from the fonds which pertain to the Jewish history have been kept at the Brno City Archives.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- The Roman-Catholic parish office adjacent to the Church of the Assumption of Virgin Mary in Brno’s Old Town was established in 1295, and in the following centuries the size of the parish continued to expand. In 1930 the parish was divided, with a new parish office built in Starý Lískovec for Bohunice and Lískovec, and in 1938 a new parish office was built to serve the suburb of Jiráskova.
