- Scope and content:
- The fonds contains materials originating from the activities of the Brno City Administration. It includes sources concerning the fate of Jewish assets after the 1939 German Nazi Occupation, but also records about the ethnicity of municipal employees from the same year: Transfers of Jewish assets-approval by the City Council (1939); Municipal employees-declaration of nationality of municipal employees including blue collar workers, school personnel, employees of institutes of social welfare and municipal enterprises (1939); Municipal employees-personal (official) statements A–Ž (1939).
- Archival history:
- The fonds, together with older included files from the period 1895-1939, was originally kept by the Municipal Registry, but in 1960 was handed over to the City Archives. It was arranged in 1961-1971, in the process of which a large quantity of material was appraised and other records sorted out from other fonds were added to it.
- Administrative/biographical history:
- The fonds’ creator was the Presidial Registry of the City of Brno. In January 1933 a reform of the Presidial Registry came into effect, in which card sheets were introduced, replacing the submission protocols used until then, and the previously used registration symbols were replaced by decimal system numeric symbols. This new system was retained until 1939, when the new German administration reintroduced the previous system of creating registration symbols and introduced traditional submission protocols.

- System of arrangement:
- Materials in the Presidial Registry are arranged according to a material key-this system was retained during arrangement. The cataloguing record of a single source therefore has the following structure: inventory number, recording symbol and regesta together with a diplomatic characteristic, the time period covered and the number of sheets, sequence number of the cataloguing record, and eventually a box.
